Volunteer Experience

U.S Department of Veterans Affairs

During my tenure at the VA, I provided essential support to veterans by aiding in their mental and physical health care. I served as a liaison for over 75 patients daily, enhancing scheduling efficiency and improving patient navigation through effective delegation of tasks. My commitment to serving veterans has deepened my understanding of public service and reinforced my dedication to making a positive impact in my community.

Farhang Foundation

At the Farhang Foundation, I actively contribute to promoting Persian culture through organizing and supporting cultural events. I am involved in creating and distributing promotional materials for art exhibitions and cultural programs, enhancing public awareness and participation. Additionally, I support educational initiatives and public lectures, furthering the foundation's mission of celebrating and promoting Iranian art and culture for the benefit of the community at large.

i9 Sports

During my time as a lacrosse coach with i9 Sports, I mentored and developed a team of about thirteen young athletes aged 9-11, emphasizing teamwork, skill-building, and sportsmanship. I organized and led engaging practices and competitive games, collaborating closely with fellow coaches to ensure a positive and impactful athletic experience. This role strengthened my leadership skills, taught me the importance of clear communication, and deepened my commitment to guiding youth toward personal growth both on and off the field.

UCSB Associated Students Food Bank

At the Associated Students Food Bank at UCSB, I helped provide groceries and essential supplies to students experiencing food insecurity. During my time there, our team served over 1,000 students, with an average of 120 visiting each week. I assisted with stocking and organizing inventory, maintained a clean and welcoming environment, and supported outreach efforts to expand access and reduce the stigma surrounding food assistance on campus.
